The Canadian Clean Technology Innovation (CCTI) Network
About the Canadian Clean Technology Innovation (CCTI) Network
The Canadian Clean Technology Innovation (CCTI) Network brings together Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations, clean technology companies and investors to support the full participation of the Canadian clean technology industry to the climate solutions agenda domestically and internationally in two ways. The CCTI Network will be available to engage with legislators who seek to consult with the private sector on other policy areas including climate change, infrastructure, energy. The CCTI Network will engage with regulators in order to provide education on practical and affordable solutions that may be put to the service of regulation for climate solutions. The CCTI Network is made possible by a grant from the Ivey Foundation under the auspices of the Centre for International Governance Innovation.
About National Accounts Reporting of Environmental Goods (NAREGS)
Under the leadership of Senior Fellow Céline Bak, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is undertaking a private-sector led policy focused initiative to build an international consensus around language to recommend National Accounts Reporting of Environmental Goods (NAREGs) in the 2017 G20 Summit under the European Presidency (Germany and Italy are candidates for G20 Presidency). At present, macro-economic data around which capital markets can form for investment in clean energy, air, earth and water innovation is thin. National Accounts Reporting of Environmental Goods trade would provide such macro-economic data. The NAREGs project would seek private sectors support from firms in the US, Germany, China and other key trading partners for a G20 declaration in 2017.
